Art Nouveau Furniture

The Art Nouveau movement began in the late 19th century and quickly spread across Western Europe, becoming particularly popular in the countries of France, Belgium, Spain, Germany and Austria. This unique style of art was defined by its highly ornamented designs that drew inspiration from natural forms such as plants and flowers. At the same time, Art Nouveau also incorporated modern industrial materials like iron and glass to create a distinct aesthetic that combined traditional craftsmanship with contemporary technology.

Art Nouveau is renowned for its distinctive fluid lines and lush curves, which can be seen in iconic pieces such as Antoni Gaudi's Casa Milà building in Barcelona or Gustav Klimt's painting The Kiss. This style influenced not only architecture but graphic design, furniture-making and even jewellery design - making it one of the most significant art movements of its era.

Art Nouveau dressing tables are a unique type of furniture that originated in France during the late 19th century. This style brought an innovative approach to furniture design. This type of dressing tables feature intricate details and curved lines, often incorporating motifs from nature.

Dressing tables were designed to be both aesthetically pleasing and highly functional; they typically include several drawers for storage and a large mirror attached to the top surface. The legs of these dressers can be either ornately carved or constructed using more modern materials like brass or chrome. Many models also feature elaborate marquetry designs made from woods such as walnut, cherry, mahogany, and oak.
