By the end of rationing in 1952 post war Britain was desperate for the reviving forms of Modern furniture design. This was the inspiration behind the Stag Cabinet Companies choice of husband and wife architect team Sylvia and John Reid. They were chosen to re-create their machine made lines of bedroom chest of drawers and dining table pieces.
Although manufactured chest of drawers were in high volume, they maintained the well-built strength and affordability their customers sought. Their ‘C’ range in the fifties of oak and walnut chests of drawers, being one of their most recognised and collected series of bedroom items
