Ladies Art Deco Walnut Writing Table with Satinwood Inlay

 Art Deco Walnut Writing Table

An elegant and beautifully detailed ladies' writing table, crafted in walnut and distinguished by its attractive figured veneers, refined proportions and delicate decorative detailing. Combining practical functionality with the decorative appeal of fine period furniture, this is a particularly stylish piece that would make an excellent addition to a bedroom, dressing room, study or intimate sitting room.

The table features a beautifully figured walnut top, arranged in a quarter-veneered pattern that draws attention to the natural grain of the timber. At its centre is a contrasting satinwood panel, providing a subtle yet effective decorative detail that complements the rich tones of the walnut. The raised, stepped gallery-style top adds further interest to the design, giving the table a pleasing architectural quality.

The frieze is attractively detailed with reeded decoration around the sides, continuing the refined styling throughout the piece. The table stands on elegant tapered walnut legs, each enhanced with reeded detailing that lends a sense of height and lightness to the overall design.

A particularly practical feature is the provision of a single drawer on each side, making the table accessible and useful from either direction. Both drawers are fitted with decorative drop handles featuring tassel-style detailing, adding a charming finishing touch to the design.

The table has been fully restored and professionally polished and is presented in fantastic condition throughout. The beautifully finished walnut, contrasting satinwood and carefully executed decorative details make this a versatile and appealing piece of furniture, equally suited to a traditional interior or a more eclectic contemporary setting.

A fine-looking writing table with attractive craftsmanship and plenty of character, offering both everyday practicality and timeless decorative appeal.
