THOMAS FRANÇOIS CARTIER (FRENCH 1879-1943)
Cartier was an animal sculptor who was trained by the sculptor George Garden, who particularly liked sculpting hunting dogs, terriers, and wolves, but on occasion sculpted big game, including fighting deer and birds of prey. He worked at the Ruche, and exhibited at the Salon des Artists Français at the beginning of the 20th century as well as at the Salon d'Automne.
