French Art Deco Desk
A fine and original French Art Deco desk, circa 1930s, featuring its original black hide leather top with natural wear and patina from use. This impressive piece reflects the understated elegance and craftsmanship characteristic of early 20th-century French design.
The desk is arranged with a bank of drawers to the right and a cupboard to the left, both offering excellent storage. The drawers run smoothly, and all locks are in working order except the top right drawer. Each escutcheon is detailed in Macassar ebony, adding subtle contrast to the rich ebonised finish. The desk separates into three sections for ease of delivery and installation.
Fully restored and finished to a deep satin sheen, this is a substantial and beautifully proportioned piece — ideal for a home office, study, or statement Art Deco interior.
