A very well preserved English Regency Chinese export games and side table with black lacquer and gold leaf chinoiserie, flip over centre to reveal back gammon and chess board, detachable top with ‘bird cage’ fitting, this games table would have been made in England in around the 1830’s and then shipped to China for the lacqure-work and gilding, this process taking around three years to make.
