French Art Deco Macassar Ebony Cabinet

A striking French Art Deco cabinet in highly figured Macassar ebony, showcasing the refined geometry and luxurious detailing associated with the atelier Dominique. Dating to the 1930s, this piece is a study in contrast — rich, dark exterior tones offset by a pale blonde maple interior.

The clean façade is trimmed with brass inlay around the door panel and base, with splayed tapering legs raised on a stepped sabots plinth. The centrepiece is a pair of highly ornate gilt bronze escutcheon plates, finely cast and detailed with foliate scrolls in high relief.

Inside, the cabinet features a clean-lined pale maple interior with adjustable shelving, making it highly functional as a drinks cabinet, bookcase, or versatile storage piece.
