Antique Chesterfield Sofa

A beautifully proportioned late Victorian to early Edwardian Chesterfield sofa, standing on turned solid walnut legs with original ceramic castors. This deeply buttoned piece has been reupholstered to a high standard around 30 to 40 years ago in rich, hand-dyed chestnut brown leather — now aged to perfection with a soft, inviting patina.

The construction is classic: fully sprung seat, back, and arms, offering exceptional comfort and support. The deep buttoning is crisply executed across the entire frame, giving the sofa its iconic sculptural presence. All castors are in smooth working order, and the frame remains tight, solid, and ready to use.

A timeless piece that would sit equally well in a period setting or layered into an eclectic contemporary interior.
