Mid-Century Walnut Desk

A beautifully proportioned mid-century Italian freestanding desk in solid walnut, likely produced in the 1950s or early 1960s. The gently angled boomerang top is inset with its original black leather, showing only minimal wear, and framed by a richly toned walnut border. The desk is fully finished on all sides, allowing it to float confidently in a living room, home office, or study setting.

It features two drawers housed within a suspended pedestal, supported by angular end panels connected by a low stretcher, adding both strength and sculptural balance. The refined geometry and quality of construction suggest the influence of designers like Gio Ponti, with a strong architectural presence and Italian modernist elegance.

The piece has been sympathetically restored and is presented in excellent condition, with the original leather preserved.
