A refined and elegant French Art Deco side table in the manner of Sue et Mare, crafted in solid walnut with burr walnut bookmatched walnut veneer, circa 1925. This beautifully proportioned piece blends neoclassical grace with the decorative flair of early French modernism.
The oval top is framed with a shallow gallery edge, resting on four tapering legs united by a lower shelf in solid walnut. The apron features a scalloped, carved detail typical of the decorative language favoured by André Mare and Louis Sue, bringing subtle movement and texture to the otherwise restrained form.
A fine example of high-quality French cabinetmaking from the 1920s, suitable as a side, lamp, or occasional table.
