Antique Chinese Daybed

The top of mitred construction framing a soft matt surface resting on four cylindrical legs lower turned stretcher bar with upright supports, produced from unknown timber possibly huanghuali, earlier spliced restorations. In excellent condition throughout, Daybeds are amongst the oldest types of furniture made in China, used for sleeping and daytime seating also being light enough to carry outside.
