It Twas an Open and Shut Case
Whether you’re a budding crime writer on the tip of success
With a case signed sealed and delivered and a publisher to impress
Or a worker who is stuck with the straight nine-to-five
a perpetual engine hell bent to survive
Seeking an alternative to the cut and the thrust
escape the insanity or they feel they’ll combust.
Or the teenager filled with angst-ridden scorn
a hormonal soul that cannot conform
Driven by adults in a world they despise
and mountains of homework, with little time to revise
So what do you say will cure their ills.
Why a desk from our fare Showroom would alter their path
For the budding crime writer to finish his draft
or the commuter stuck with his straight nine-to-five
who can now work from home
with more time on his side.
And least we forget the teenagers distress
who parents will be thankful to hide all that bl**min clutter and mess!
Tis now a case of what style to choose:
From the polished vintage thirties, with industrial curves
Black rubber surface and plenty of drawers
To the striking rosewood with its illuminating grain
gently tapered feet and classic seventies design.
