For the Love of Design
I have always viewed the world from a kaleidoscope of design. It’s like having rose tinted classes (surgically attached), that compel you too fall in love with anything that is beautifully made, from the natural to the avant-garde. I’m totally driven by it and I can never have my need for furniture heaven quenched…its like having a serous case of ‘design dismorphia’. If you like me suffer from this visual affliction, you will find it very hard to resist the bounteous amount of sheer yummy pieces we hold in stock.
My passion for design was the driving force behind me acquiring this job (I walked in and fell in love with the lot!). I was totally inspired by the variety and quality, and being a person who adores anything a bit eccentric. Had every button pushed for those items that definitely don’t conform to the norm. Lets just say my home is a haven for the unusual and I’m a magpie feathering her nest with the best I have seen in a while.
If you can make it, you really need to come and have a poke around our three floors. Its well worth a drive! The taste is totally eclectic and there is room to take your time and pick over the pieces, sit in the chairs and generally enjoy the environment. I can genuinely say, that you can literally furnish a whole property with the contents of this shop (im gradually doing exactly that). And no matter what your taste and style, from the classic to the vintage or the deco to the original, The Furniture Rooms of Tunbridge Wells can really offer you a varied choice of the best.
